Why yelling shows up so quickly in ADHD homes

Many parents know yelling isn’t helpful, yet it still happens.

Especially when:

  • You’re rushed, tired, or under pressure
  • Your child isn’t responding......again
  • Emotions escalate faster than you can think

In ADHD families, emotional regulation is harder for children and adults.

When one nervous system escalates, the other often follows.

Yelling is not a conscious decision in those moments.
It’s a stress response.

In this webinar, you’ll learn:

✔ Why yelling happens faster in ADHD homes (and why it's not down to your parenting)

✔ What's happening in the ADHD brain and nervous system during emotional escalation.

✔ How to interrupt reactive cycles in the moment

✔ What to do instead of yelling when emotions run high

✔ How to get cooperation without raising your voice

This session is practical, grounded, and realistic especially for parents who already feel stretched.

This webinar is for you if:

  • You’re parenting a child with ADHD
  • You want moments of connection but feel stuck in reactive cycles
  • You’re tired of advice that sounds good but just doesn't work
  • You want cooperation without fighting

You need the right understanding and tools.

Your host

Hi, my name is Susan

I’m a parent of a child with ADHD also. My son is now a young adult so I’m just a few years ahead of you on this journey. I remember the frustrations and the hopelessness of the days when you just don’t know what to do next.

I have developed this program from ten years of working with hundreds of stressed parents raising children with ADHD. I have pinpointed the methods that work for our children and their ADHD brains.

I’m a certified coach and have a Masters of Education by research where I researched the benefits of coaching parents raising children with ADHD. Read my thesis here

This isn’t about fixing your child — or yourself

This webinar won’t ask you to:

  • Be calmer
  • Use stricter consequences
  • Push through harder

Instead, you’ll learn how ADHD, stress, and emotional regulation interact — and how small shifts can change what happens in the moment.

Very good session with some excellent advice, coaching and assistance to help me understand and change some expectations.  Also to modify some parenting concepts to be more effective and empathetic to the kids.
